Last night I finally got the chance to get the dutch oven out. I have not had the time or ability to cook for over a year. I was in a massive automobile wreck. Suburban going the wrong way on Interstate highway hit me head on. He was doing 50 and I 70. Then a woman hit me in the rear at seventy miles an hour. Sad Thumbs Down However, I made it and am now able to do a few things. Still can't work. Back to the cast Iron. After a day with my lovely wife, we decided we needed a fire in the fire pit. So I got the charcoal going and put a couple logs on. Nice fire. Got the cast iron out and started to make a nice pot of camp chilli. Did not take long and boy was it good. Nothing like a fire and food. :Smile 1: Thumbs Up Sorry no pictures. Have a great weekend.

Very sorry to hear about your accident.
Very glad to hear you are on the mend, as slow as it may be.

Aaah yes, a fire in the pit and and a little cast iron cooking sounds like heaven to me!
I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, sending healing prayers.

So sorry to hear about your accident but glad to hear you are feeling well enough to cook outside, I'm sure that first meal tasted delicious. Hope you continue on your road to recovery. Thumbs Up

Glad you got to get back to the cast iron.

Scary stuff, glad you're ok. Hope for a full recovery.
