BUTTERED RUM sauce

BUTTERED RUM sauce--------------------------------------------

3/4 cup whipping cream
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
3 tbls. Captain Morgan's Spiced Dark Rum
1/2 tsp.vanilla
1 cinnamon stick
...................................................................................

Combine cream & sugar in 8" dutch oven on a full bed of coals; Add cinnamon stick, cook until mixture comes to full boil---cook w/ 6 coals on bottom of oven until slightly thickened...remove from heat and stir in butter, rum & vanilla....use sauce warm.

* serve Buttered Rum Sauce over ice cream

Heck, why not make it really rich and throw in a WHOLE teaspoon of vanilla Laughing

Don't see why not wolfy...I think that would be good; for that matter, the quantity of Captain Morgan's could be increased also....(hic)

Wouldn't know about that....didn't know Cap'n Morgan's could be measured in tablespoons. Always willin' to learn, but remain reluctant Wink
