I took up residence under my cooking tarp in the woods and cooked supper last night. A Mountain Man Breakfast. I started my fire (with my fire piston - practicing my wilderness survival skills), cooked my sausage, scrambled my eggs. Then I baked my biscuits in my 12" DO and whipped up some sausage gravy over my backpacking stove.

When all was said and done (and eaten) I had just enough leftover for today's lunch. Mmmmmmmm Thumbs Up

Yeah, that thought ALWAYS hits me AFTER the fact. I've definitely got to be camera-ready. Maybe next time.

I agree, every meal should be cooked outdoors! Tell if I'm wrong, doesn't food just taste better prepared outdoor rustic and over an open flame.

Yeah, wood smoke is my favorite smell in the world...maybe next to baking bread and chocolate.
