Spent yesterday smoking 18lbs. of pork shoulder for our camping trip this weekend. (I'll post pics later...lol)

Here's the finishing sauce I used on the pulled pork. It smells as good as it tastes! Thumbs Up

Dr. Pepper Finishing Sauce for Pulled Pork

1/4 cup butter
2 sweet onions chopped fine

2 Tbsp chopped garlic
1 cups ketchup
1 cup Bull’s Eye Original BBQ sauce
3 cup Dr. Pepper (NOT diet)
1/4 cup lemonade
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
4 Tbsp brown Sugar
1/2 Tbsp ground pepper
1/2 Tbsp onion powder
1/2 Tbsp mustard powder
2 Tbsp worchestershire sauce

Melt butter in a 10” dutch oven.
Add onions & garlic, saute until tender.
Add remaining ingredients & bring to a boil.
Reduce heat & simmer for 45-60 minutes.
If you prefer a smoother sauce, use a blender to further dissolve the onion pieces. Pour over warm pulled pork and mix well.

This sounds like an amazing recipe for a finishing sauce. I've been using the same one for years and nothing I've ran across has made me think about changing it up......until now. Gonna have to give this one a go I believe. Thinking
