10" Cast Iron Skillet

Ingredients:

1- Stick Butter (melted)
1 can - 8 count Jumbo Biscuits
1/2 cup - Light Brown Sugar
1Tbs - Ground Cinnamon
1/8 tsp - Nutmeg
1 (21 oz can) Apple Pie Filling
1 tsp - Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup - Walnuts or Pecans

GLAZE:

1/2 cup - Powdered Sugar
2-3 Tbs - Heavy Cream or Half & Half

DIRECTIONS:

Melt 1 stick butter in small bowl. With a small brush completely cover the inside of a 10' skillet with some of the butter. In another small bowl; mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg mixing well. Open canned biscuits and dip each in the melted butter. Then cover biscuits with the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place biscuits in skillet. Open Apple Pie filling and pour into a small bowl. Cut up Apples into smaller pieces then add vanilla extract - stir well. Pour Apple mixture over the biscuits. Pour remaining butter over the biscuits and then cover with the remaining Sugar/Cinnamon mixture. Spread Walnuts or Pecans over biscuits. Pre heat oven 375. Place in oven and bake 30-35 minutes. Mix powdered sugar and half & half to make glaze. Remove from oven and drizzle with glaze.

what kind of biscuits did you use? southern style, buttermilk?
