Hello all. For a quick rundown, I am a retired firefighter, fourth generation cowboy living on the ranch that my great-grandfather homesteaded where we have run cattle on continuously for nearly 100 years. My hobbies are hunting, fishing and cooking with my best friend who is also my wife Jackie. Ranching is not a hobby as much as a must but I enjoy every minute of it. I love DO and camp cooking and boiled coffee (Folgers during the week and Arbuckles on the weekends). I must admit though I am often forced to use a drip in the house. I've enjoyed the forum so far and hope to add to the conversation.
Enough of me, enjoy the site and I hope to be posting in the future.

Jim

Welcome aboard!

Although I live in Las Vegas now, I grew up in Tucson. I remember following my Dad around the hills north of Patagonia for the white tail hunt. He didn't get many (any??) more deer when I got old enough to follow him. Somehow I don't think he minded the tradeoff. Lovely area of the state.

Welcome!!! I have learned so much from everyone here. I started DO cooking over charcoal about a year ago and I have learned almost all I know from the folks here. Great group. I am in NW Arizona, the Kingman area.

Jim, Welcome! Compared to ranching, I'm just a city slicker who loves going to various country settings to enjoy the outdoors. Someday I hope to move out of the suburbs permanently. This forum is a wealth of information, thanks to our always helpful members.
