Join us for our "Cabin Fever" DOG

This weekend is perfect for a meet up and cook out. A chance to get out of the house for those suffering with "Cabin Fever". The weekend of Feb 9th is stuck between the Super Bowl on Feb 3rd and the start of NASCAR on Feb 16th (Bud Shoot Out), so why not have a Dutch Oven Gathering. :P

We will meet at Kings Mountain State Park in South Carolina at Shelter #1. Meet around 10 AM and commence to cooking with the Cast Iron Buffet at 3 PM. Please bring a log or two for the community fireplace.

Kings Mountain State Park is located about 30 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC off Interstate 85 Exit 8. Then 6 miles due south, cross the state line into SC and its the first right.

Guest are Welcome :Smile 1: Just starting out? Bring your recipe, groceries and your oven, we'll help ya out.

Come See Us, We can cure "Cabin Fever"

Visit Southeast Camper for the latest details.

Hi Lost John

We are a laid back group and we don't have too many rules.

The only thing required to have fun at a Dutch Oven Gathering is showing up.

Bring your gear for cooking, a recipe or 2 and groceries. Don't forget to bring something to drink.

We meet in the morning and set up our cook area. Then spend the day mingling and cooking with a cast iron buffet in the afternoon. Each DOG is different, most are straight forward and you cook what want. Some DOG's have a theme, so your recipe choice should be influenced by that.

Check out the Southeast Camper Photo Album to see past Dutch Oven Gatherings for more details.

We are here to help.

See ya soon,
Dan

DOGs are very laid back events. Just have fun talk and learn from others. I have learned so much from other cooks. We have one members that is a bread master and i am starting to do bread after seeing and tasting the bread he made!!!!!!!! The best thing is the varity of food you get and if you go away hunrgy thats your fault cause we always have enough food. I always set my recipe to feed 8 ish people. There will be another DOG at Falls Lake Rec Area on March 16. here a link to that info:
