I thought I'd post the rub I've been using for BBQ and smoked meat and chicken. It comes from Lodge but I've tweaked to my liking. It is sweet and spicy.

Original Recipe

1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp chili powder
2 tsps salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper

My version:

1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp ancho chile powder
2 tsp salt (1 tsp if using bbq sauce later)
3/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp chipotle powder
